A new daily bus service linking Worksop with Clumber Park will launch this summer, offering return tickets including park entry for just £3.
Running from Saturday 25 July to Sunday 6 September, the service will operate three times a day, every day, connecting Worksop Train Station, Worksop Bus Station and Manton Depots with Clumber Park. It is being funded by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) and operated by Stagecoach East Midlands in partnership with the National Trust.
Travel and entry will be completely free for National Trust members, children under five, and visitors arriving into Worksop by train with a valid ticket. The route has been timed to align with train services from Nottingham, creating a joined-up public transport link into one of the region's most popular nature and outdoor destinations.
Summer of Play Returns
Visitors travelling to Clumber Park by bus will be able to take advantage of the Summer of Play programme, returning for its fourth year. Included with normal admission and free for all visitors, this year's programme features six interactive play zones: Loose Parts, Active, Nature, Imagination, Toddler, and brand new for 2026, a Pokemon Zone.
Free ukulele workshops and storytelling sessions will also be on offer, alongside bookable activities including yoga, craft sessions, movement and mindfulness, nature dyeing workshops, The Big Tree Climb and live pantomime performances from Talegate Theatre Productions.
Bridging the Gap
Claire Sarris, Clumber Park's Community, Participation and Volunteering Manager, said: "Access to public transport can often be one of the biggest barriers preventing people from visiting Clumber Park. This service helps bridge that gap by creating an affordable and sustainable way for more people to visit during the summer holidays."
East Midlands Mayor Claire Ward added: "Too many people face barriers accessing the wonderful tourist spots on our doorstep, and this is one simple, affordable way to help change that. This is the kind of practical, joined-up transport we want to see more of across the East Midlands."
Matt Cranwell, Managing Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: "At just £3 for your travel and park entry, catching the bus is a great value and hugely enjoyable way to visit one of the great attractions of our region."
Full timetable information will be available via the Clumber Park and Stagecoach East Midlands websites, as well as the Ride app, ahead of the summer holidays.
