The Retford Youth Football League launched its new season this week, with over 300 young players participating. Saturday’s opening match saw the Retford Rovers U12s defeat the Newark Knights 4-1. League coordinator Ben Hughes emphasized the importance of youth sports, saying, ‘It’s great to see kids active and having fun.’
